Movers & Shakers is a history written through people.
Launched in 2022, the project brought together two complementary components from the very beginning: the Movers & Shakers conferences and the dedicated publication. The conferences created a space for dialogue and interaction among leaders and professionals from sectors essential to society and the economy, while the publication highlighted the professional journeys, experiences, ideas and projects of people whose work contributes to Romania’s progress.
In 2024, Movers & Shakers entered a new stage of development. The publication was released in two Romanian-language volumes, bringing together prominent figures and professionals from a wide range of fields. In September, MediaUno Press Group organised a new Movers & Shakers conference, further strengthening the connection between the project’s editorial component and direct dialogue among the people who give it substance and meaning.
The year 2025 marked the project’s expansion towards a broader perspective with the launch of European Movers & Shakers. The two English-language volumes gave the project an international dimension and brought the stories, experiences and achievements featured in the publication closer to audiences beyond Romania’s borders.
In 2026, Movers & Shakers reached its most extensive editorial development to date. MediaUno Press Group produced six Movers & Shakers volumes, bringing together people and perspectives from fields of major importance to Romania. The six volumes were launched during the Movers & Shakers Gala, an event dedicated to recognising performance, leadership and the contribution of those who generate change through their work and projects.
