Cristian Pîrvulescu
co-founder and CEO of ENEVO Group
Cristian Pîrvulescu is a Romanian entrepreneur and energy expert, co-founder and CEO of ENEVO Group, an integrated EPC contractor specialized in energy infrastructure.
He co-founded ENEVO Group in 2014 together with Radu Brașoveanu, a former university colleague. Both had already gained substantial experience in energy projects in Romania and abroad, and they set out with a clear ambition: to build a Romanian engineering and technology company recognized on the global stage. With more than 15 years as an entrepreneur, Cristian Pîrvulescu has led the company’s evolution from an automation integrator into a mature international group.
Under his leadership, ENEVO Group developed solid expertise as an EPC contractor for power generation, power transmission and distribution, automation, and cybersecurity for critical infrastructures. Over the years, the company has delivered projects across four continents and more than twelve countries, and today it operates through offices in Romania, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, working for some of the world’s largest utilities and industrial groups. He assembled young engineers alongside seasoned specialists into a multidisciplinary team, turning ENEVO Group into a genuine engineering school. The group has grown beyond construction into dispatch operations, energy trading, and proprietary technology such as SentryOT, the first Romanian cybersecurity platform for operational technology networks.
Beyond ENEVO Group, Cristian Pîrvulescu served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Transelectrica SA, Romania’s Transmission System Operator, as Associate Professor with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (MBA), as Director of the Energy and Infrastructure Department of the European League for
Economic Cooperation, and as Director of the Aspen Institute Energy and Sustainability Program in Romania.
He describes the shift toward green energy as an industrial revolution in its own right, convinced that energy has become the new IT. His ambition for ENEVO Group is equally clear: by 2030, the company aims to become one of the global leaders in the resilience of energy systems, a diversified international holding that integrates grid engineering, renewables, digital technologies, and sustainable investments.
