Radu Brașoveanu,
co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ENEVO Group

Radu Brașoveanu is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ENEVO Group, an integrated EPC contractor specialized in energy infrastructure. A Romanian entrepreneur and energy expert, he has over two decades of experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, automation, and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. As the technical engine of the company, he has guided ENEVO’s transformation from a startup into a globally recognized EPC contractor that delivers complex projects across multiple continents.

Before founding ENEVO, Radu Brașoveanu led design teams for major substation projects in Australia and North Africa. In Romania, he played a pivotal role as a Protection and SCADA Engineer, contributing to the first 61850 Process Bus Pilot Project and to key projects for Transelectrica and CEZ.

In 2014, he co-founded ENEVO Group together with Cristian Pîrvulescu, with the ambition of building a Romanian engineering company recognized on the global stage. He developed validated technical solutions and assembled multidisciplinary teams, turning the company into a genuine engineering school. Over the years he has overseen ENEVO’s technical operations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Today, ENEVO Group brings together more than 500 specialists across three divisions: Renewables, Power Transmission and Distribution, and Automation. The group has delivered projects for industry giants such as Aramco and SABIC, currently building Ogrezeni (761 MWp / 534 MWac) in Giurgiu County, the largest hybrid renewable energy project in Europe.

As CTO, Radu Brașoveanu has steered the company toward areas where differentiation is decisive: asset operations, energy trading, and cybersecurity. He has championed the group’s proprietary dispatch center, DLC ENEVO OmniSOC, which unites technical dispatch, energy trading, and a Security Operations Center, with the target of monitoring up to 1 GW by the end of 2026. He has also driven the development of SentryOT, the first cybersecurity platform built entirely in Romania for Operational Technology networks, aligned with the NIS 2 directive and validated by the National Directorate for Cyber Security.

For Radu Brașoveanu, the next phase of the energy transition rests on the capacity to deliver complex, hybrid projects that integrate generation, storage, and grid services into coherent, bankable infrastructure, confirming that Romanian engineering can compete successfully on international markets.
